I have been involved in the landscape industry for over thirty years. As a graduate of Rutgers University (B.S. 1977) in Environmental Planning I have worked in the landscape design and construction business in many capacities. My early work in the landscape construction industry gave me important hands-on experience in the design and implementation of a landscape project.

My earlier design projects include commercial projects such as the Riverview Hotel and Convention Center, a Stoffer Hotel in Mobile Alabama, the Magnolia Trace subdivision adjacent to the Grand Hotel in Fairhope Alabama, and the Plantation Homes subdivision in Robertsville Alabama.

Several hundred of my residential designs led to "Yard of the Month" status in the 12 years I spent in Alabama.

Since 1989 I have resided in the North Texas area and have been involved with many commercial and residential projects.

Among the Commercial projects I am most proud of are the Ronald McDonald House, Christ the King Catholic Church campus, Oxy Towers and the Prestonwood Homeowners Association common areas.

I have also been involved in the design of several hundred residential projects in North Texas which led to notoriety including mention in Southern Assent Magazine, Starwood Parade of Homes Best Landscape Design in Frisco Texas and several "Yard of the Month" awards.

I became a Landscape Architect in 1993 after passing the UNE (Unified National Exam). The UNE is a test given each year to those with the educational and work qualification. Unlike landscape designers, landscape architects are licensed, with a bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture.

I became a member of the ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects), a pre-eminent national professional association, in 1994. The ASLA defines Landscape Architecture as "the profession that encompasses the analysis, planning, design, management, and stewardship of the natural and built environment." ASLA full members have graduated from an accredited landscape architecture program, have three or more years of professional experience, and are state licensed.
